1. why sometimes convert videos with custom conversion rule will fail?
Answer: Not all the combination of video codec , audio codec and video size are legal, some combination will cause conversion failed, users should try and find out the worked combination, by defaults, the default rules will works in most case.

2. How to submit a conversion task?
Answer: there are 3 way to submit conversion task:
*. submit from video file.
1) select the video file to convert
2) choose the conversion settings
3) click "convert" button to submit conversion task

*. Create from converted task by using it as template .
1) select the finished conversion task, it will modify the conversion settings with its settings
2) adjust the conversion settings according to your requirement
3) click "convert" button to submit conversion task

*. re-run conversion task
1) click "run" button of the conversion task
2) the task will re-run with its own settings.

3. How to batch trim video?
Answer:
1) Uncheck "Enable cut mode" in setting page
2) Select all the video files to be trimmed.
3) Choose the start time and stop time, and submit task
4) All selected videos will be trimmed with the same length both at the front and at the end.

4. How to sync app configure cross your Macs?
Answer:
1) login iCloud with your apple ID in all of your Mac
2) in Thunder video converter setting view, Click "sync to icloud" will upload settings to iCloud, and from other Mac, click "sync from iCloud" will update your app settings from iCloud.

5. Why sometimes convert video failed?
Answer: There are maybe 3 possibility。
1）The conversion parameters are not appropriate, you can change conversion rule to try again.
2) the video filename is too long or the target folder path is too long, please rename the video file to a short filename or choose a shorter target folder.
3) Maybe the target folder is not valid. please change a new target folder and try again, please don't choose system folder as target folder, it's best to create your own folder as target folder.

6. Why FFPlay ask for privilege to receive global key?
A: because FFPlay is controlled by keyboard, so please simply accept the prompt.

7. Why merge video fail?
A: all the videos to be merged should have the same resolution and encoder, if they don't, please convert to the same resolution and encoder first.

Hello everyone! Since many of you reached out to us wishing for the menu bar icon / coffee cup to be slightly smaller, we reduced the size accordingly.

We are aware of the issue of the dropdown menu not showing up when using external monitors on macOS Catalina. This is a system related issue and we are already in contact with Apple. We are very sorry for the inconvinience. We'll provide a fix as soon as possible.

By the way, check out Caffeinated's new website www.caffeinated.app. Along with a helpful FAQ we've also written a step-by-step guide on how to keep your MacBook awake with closed lid. In this guide we also explain why this isn't a built-in-feature of Caffeinated.
