Description:Fluctus Free is a Professional Audio File Editor for the most basic Audio Engineering needs. It allows fast and simple audio editing and conversion.
With Fluctus you can rearrange your audio with standard operations like: Delete, Erase, Trim, Cut, Copy, Paste... Or edit your waveform, sample by sample, with the Pencil tool.
You can also use our non-destructive Amplitude edit system, and leave the waveform untouched. This is done in a secondary “Layer”, that allows you to edit the file amplitude (with sample precision) without interfering with your original Audio File “Layer”.
The secondary or Amplitude “Layer” can be edited by applying functions (like fade-ins and -outs, audio mute or audio pass), or alternatively you can use the Pencil tool to edit the Amplitude in a sample by sample fashion.
Fluctus also provides a High Quality playback engine, that maintains your signal correctly adapted to your I/O System regardless of its limitations.
You can run a “Peak Analysis” on your files for dBFS and dB True-Peak (also known as inter-sample peaks), and normalise the audio file accordingly with the “Peak Control Tool”. The FFT and Amplitude Distribution Analysis complete the comprehensive list of Tools, that help you make informed editing decisions.
Unlimited Undo and Redo history, and a “Clean History” option to free disk space when needed.
Fluctus Free is a 64-bit capable application. Intermediate audio is saved in 32-bit floating point files and all internal processing is done in 64-bit floating point precision.
More features: Master Control ("volume" and "balance"), Playback Speed controller (digital or analog style), a simple Stereo Recorder and a Audio File Player for preview purposes.
Fluctus Free can import AIFF, WAVE, FLAC, CAF, Sound Designer II, NeXT/Sun, MP3, ALAC and AAC (Stereo or Mono) file formats.
Exports AIFF, WAVE, CAF, Sound Designer II, NeXT/Sun, ALAC and AAC (Stereo or Mono).
You can also change the bit depth, sample rate and add dither when exporting.
